CLAUDIA SANTIAGO MUSIC
OPERA / CLASSICAL / BROADWAY
Here’s a little bit of Claudia Santiago’s training and background trivia!
When Claudia Santiago first heard Ann Wilson of the group “Heart” she was moved and inspired. As one to take action on her dreams, Claudia researched and found out that Ann studied classical opera. Soon, it became apparent in her research that some of her other favorite pop/rock singers also studied classical music. Aside from singing, Claudia studied and played the violin in a touring youth orchestra!
Soon Claudia found herself studying under some of the best opera and classical trainers which not only trained her voice, but taught her the acting, costuming, history and culture of interpretation of the opera. She paid her own way to do this as a youngster with her babysitting money and would ride the bus on her own to great distances to train with her coaches. As the years progressed, it became apparent Claudia was multi-talented and her career opened up to various local and international stages and this required her to train in pop, dance, jazz, motown, blues and rock styles.
Claudia has never left her love for classical music and her training has served her well throughout her career as it is an expertise that gives her a niche market as specialty events. She has appeared in government events, singing for other dignitary events.
When Claudia performs these sets, she will perform solo or with big band/orchestra. She also has a vast collection of opera gowns which she performs in bringing not only the sound, but look necessary for your special event.
